Today’s word is market; twist: dialogue only

“The divorce is finalized? How do you feel?”

“I haven’t been alone since I was nineteen. I’m sixty-five now. I don’t know if I’m feeling anything.”

“That’s the problem! You NEED to feel something. Wasn’t that part of the reason why you left him?”

“ Okay, I’ll tell you honestly how I feel. Promise me you won’t laugh!”

“ Promise with all my heart.”

“I’m excited because I’m in the market again! After all this time! I’m not looking for a man. I’m yearning for a feasibility!”

“I’m so happy for you. What’s next?”

“A café and a book.”

Thank you, Nancy Oglesby, Miriam Connolly, and FS Editors for the inspiration!

My friend of the day…

Denée King and her lovely poem brought me back to my time with one of my favorite books, “Good Night Moon.”
