Todays drabble challenge word is “issue”.

Today’s drabble challenge twist is that it is a drabble and a half that starts with “it was too late…”.

A drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less.

If you enjoyed this, let me know by highlighting, clapping, and commenting!

It was too late to find a motel and too cold to sleep in the van after playing our death metal gig.

So I asked, and whaddya know, our fan base delivered.

And we're not picky, either. We’ve enjoyed getting ravaged, savaged and damaged for the last 20 years!

We kinda knew our die-hard, right? Of course, we could trust him!

So, we crashed at his place and I’m ready for shuteye. Is it an issue we can’t party like we used to?

Still… worst bloody night of our lives.

What was that thumping?

Screeching?

Wailing?

Heavy items crashing?

I’ve never experienced such horror.

We had to escape while we could.
