The Ultimate Test
RWDrabble 2.0.062 | Eighteen
Today’s drabble challenge word is eighteen.
Today’s drabble challenge twist is to “be a damned fly on the wall that overhears”.
A drabble is a work of fiction that is exactly 100 words. No more. No less.

I adore the stench of the nose-picking, ball-scratching, wind-breaking teenage boy…
…But it’s his swotty (terrifying word) older sister who’s created a stink today.
“What about college?” yells Mom.
“You’ve worked so hard!!!” yells Dad.
Good things, surely?
Her brother slinks away.
I’d follow him to his festy bedroom, but something has happened to their straight-A, honour-roll, high-SAT-scoring college daughter.
“The test is positive,” her mother wails.
Well, she’s always been good at exams!
“Your freedom gone for eighteen years!”
Aaaaaaaaaahhh, speaking of which, I’ve got eggs to lay. Where’s that boy gone?
Yup, no more cherries in my drabbles, because the only possible one in this story got popped…
