“Simon, we hired you because you’re the best in the world. There’s no one better who envisions such intricate architectural designs and then brings them to fruition. What do you say? Will you build the new viaduct over the highway?”
“Sorry, Malcolm. I can’t. There are too many suicides that are associated with that. I don’t want my good name to become synonymous with the ‘bridge of death.’”
“Don’t you think you’re blowing this out of proportion?”
“No! As life gets harder, more people continue to struggle. There’s increased homelessness, decreased employment opportunities, and less access to affordable healthcare and nutrition. Can you blame any of them?”
“Simon, I don’t think you fully understand the project. We’re building this highly acclaimed structure with Lego blocks.”
