Today’s random word is: sweep

Nick was still in kindergarten when the song was surprisingly sweeping to the top of the charts.

Everybody was singing the chorus, even those who spoke not a word of French.

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?
Voulez-vous couchez avec moi?

Nick would sing the chorus again in class, much to the amusement of the students.

“What do the words mean?” asked Karissa.

“No idea,” he said. “Actually, I do know. Mum told me. It’s… ”

“Would you like to have a sleepover with me tonight?”

If you’re not already on board with writing drabbles, (short, 100-word stories, no more, no less,) do yourself a favour. Get stuck in! They are a lot of fun to write, but also serve as a lesson in tight writing, given the 100-word constraint.
