Watching Over All
RWDrabble 2.0.039 | Eternal
A Drabble is a fiction story of exactly 100 words — no more, no less. So please stick around for 30 seconds so Medium can see it’s been read. Any claps, highlights, and comments will help support my work and encourage me to keep going.
Our drabbles should feature the random word of the day and be told BY an Alaskan mountain.

Denali is my name. The sun rises, warming my back as I stand resolute and eternal above the frozen lands. Over millennia I have grown from the ground to my lofty height, watching over Alaska.
My rocky slopes rise before a crown of frigid ice and powdery snow perches atop my summit. At my feet, the majesty of Wonder Lake spreads out before me. The sunlight glints upon its crystal crystal-clear waters.
I have stood here long before man walked the land, seeking to bend it to his will. And I will be here long after he is gone.
