This is Daily Drabble Journey — short stories of exactly 100 words. Please stay on this page for at least 30 seconds, and let us know you’ve been here; that’s how we know who’s reading our stories. Also, I love hearing from readers, so please feel free to highlight, clap, and comment — let me know what you think. Many of us on this journey enjoy engaging with readers and writers. I am one of them. Thank you.

I watched the scene curiously.

The lady, known for storytelling and imagination, had called police — again!

The officer scribbled notes as the lady rambled incessantly. She didn’t give him a chance to ask questions as she vividly described her eyewitness account.

When she paused, catching her breath, the officer asked, “How did you see what happened when you are blind?”

The blind lady defiantly waved her white cane in the air, shouting
“I don’t need to see a crime to know what happened!”

The policeman winked at me, thanking the lady for her story.
