Twist: A message carried in a bottle by ocean waves is addressed to you.

Amber dawn rays gently kiss the calm ocean waves. Troubled, I stare at the horizon.

Is it my fault Steve drove his car into a tree?

I was such a big jerk when he was seeking help. Did my last words to him, “You’re such a loser, mate,” drive him over the edge?

Am I guilty?

Something tap-tapped my left foot. Looking down, I see a bottle bobbing on a foamy wave. It contains a note addressed to me.

Dear Tim,

I swerved to avoid hitting a dog. You’re not to blame for my death.

Lots of love,

Steve
