The monkeys are loose. Nobody knows who left my apartment door open, but the word is out. It’s a miracle I’ve kept my helpers a secret.
If not for their assistance, how else could I effectively manage to work as an editor at Fiction Shorts, reading and writing multiple drabble entries within hours of their submission?
I got the idea from previous commercials depicting human workers as chimpanzees, and thought, “I could do that, seeing as monkeys carry a wealth of knowledge.”
So, I put them to work and since then, everyone at the popular publication has gone bananas.

Currently, I’m not one of the fabulous editors at this wonderful publication. I wrote this fictitious piece of humour in honour of those who are.
