The Solar Presidency — Part Five

Barron walked off stage with the Texas crowd roaring his name and “R.R.L.A! Americans for America!” The massive video screen — calling it a jumbotron would have been an insult — ran a roll call of already “enlisted” civilians, followed with State by State “bases” and a 15-second video tutorial on how to register. A digital counter at the top right of the screen tallied enlisted R.R.L.A. “soldiers.” Ten minutes after Barron closed his address with, “God never gives us more than we can handle, and we must handle this upcoming crisis ourselves,” the total enlisted topped 5.5 million.

Bracketed by Secret Service agents, Barron’s team moved him swiftly to the waiting caravan of black…
