Waking from a nightmare, a man finds he’s living in something much worse.

How had this begun? What, in hell, caused this terrible event? My memory is blank; I don’t have a clue who I am. Why couldn’t I remember anything? My life is a blank slate as if nothing existed at all before the past few minutes. When did these THINGS … arrive? Where had THEY come from, and how did they get here?
