and using it
You’ve had times in your life when you struggled to use your own voice — or to even know what it meant to speak.
To speak for people around you that needed you to be their voice.
To speak up for yourself when it was hard.
To speak about an issue that mattered to you — even if finding the words seemed impossible.
I’ve created a new space this week for writers who are interested in trying out a new voice: You can find that here. (Also, a great spot for readers!!) (Come join me!)
I’ve written for a young immigrant boy — because I want his voice to be heard.
I’ve gathered lots of different voices together for this epic post — to speak for our Earth.
And my poem I Will Speak received a thumbs up from the curators. (For those of you who are not Medium writers, this means that the Medium staff chose my poem to share with others who enjoy reading poetry. It is an honor to receive a curation on an article.)
COLD IS COMING — it’s been 20 degrees here at night!
Keeping it brief for you this evening — the night is young and I have more to write.
Come by and see some of the new articles and poetry I have published now — and SOON, I promise, you’ll be hearing about my first collection of poetry hitting Amazon!! (It is called “Organic”)
(Happy Birthday to my mother — the kindest woman I know. I love you, Mom. I chose the font for my book cover called “Alice” in your honor :)
