Let there be no mistake, the gig economy is booming. Yes, even with the bots trying to take over our online spaces. (I wrote about that ongoing wave of nausea right here.) But Fiverr has recently made a change that makes it even harder for you to find work.
First, Fiverr Is NOT Like Upwork
Now if you’re rolling into this conversation fresh on the heels of using Upwork, you might be a bit confused.
On Upwork, jobs are posted and using your stockpile of paid connects, you apply, plead your case, and compete with other freelancers for the opportunity to take the job. They name the price.
Fiverr works a bit differently.
On Fiverr, you list your “gigs” which are specific services you offer, naming your own prices. Then it is up to the buyers to find you, contact you, and hire you.
