The Water Glass

There is a water glass on my table, droplets pouring down.
Inviting, refreshing, quenching, cooling my tongue.
Life-sustaining.

How very much this glass of water represents love.
It fills us up, overflows, sustains, nourishes and grows us.
And yet, it can leave us empty too.
