Submission Guidelines
When submitting please follow the guidelines outlined on this page. Upon reviewing submissions,
reserves the rights to accept or deny any submission we receive, Submissions are reviewed based on their content, quality and relevance. looks to publish the highest quality work.We will immediately decline a submission if we are emailed under a BCC, emailed to another magazine with our email CC’d or BCC’d, and/or images are sent within an email with no body/description.
Once submitting, you accept all the agreements on this page.
What to submit
Submitters have the ability to submit an existing series one has created or can provide a submission proposal which includes photographing a series strictly for
.Anyone is eligible to submit (photographers, creatives, storytellers etc.). The submitter must provide information regarding the entire team who worked on the submission. When submitting through email, please email us directly and not under a BCC.
NOTE: All submitters shooting for FIELDWORK are not 100% guaranteed to be featured in an upcoming issue or online feature. Our editorial team reviews every submission and reserve all rights on their selection.
For Submission proposals, one must provide the following information:
- Info about submitter (e.g. location, specialities, a little story)
- Link to website / portfolio / social media
- Concept proposal for series (keep to 1–2 sentences) or example of work
How to submit
First, send over written text and low-resolution images (either as separate JPEGS or in one PDF attached to email) for the FIELDWORK team to review.
Once approved, editorials are requested to be in the following format:
- All images provided, hi-resolution, 350–400dpi RGB (JPEG or TIFF)
- Please submit .zip file of images, team credits, and styling credits to contact.fieldwork@gmail.com through email or wetransfer.com/sendspace.com/ge.tt for larger files.
- Send Instagram handles of each member of team for us to credit on publication
Perks
Your name will be credited along with a link to your website (if you are a blogger/writer).
You will be provided with a permanent digital copy of your article if the article makes it into a future issue of FIELDWORK that is not in blog format.
Important Notice
As a contributor, all the images you submit for any issue of FIELDWORK must be copyright free. The submitted works must be all done by yourself and you must be the authentic copyright holder. If which ever submission(s) get involved with any copyright entanglement because of the above, your eligibility will automatically be revoked. You will be responsible for all the legal consequences under all circumstances regardless of FIELDWORK’s awareness or not.
In order to achieve a better page layout design, FIELDWORK also has the right to use, enlarge, reduce and/or crop the original photograph.
FIELDWORK is a self-published magazine entirely designed by a small team.
In case of overwhelming artwork submission, not all the submitted stories are guaranteed to be covered or featured in the publication. Editors reserve all rights on the selection.
