11/19/2020 — And Off We Go
“A loss of a thousand dollars begins with a single shit trade” -Laozi
Like any enjoyably incoherent story, this one begins in the middle. In the middle of the day, in the middle of the week, in the middle of my trading career, in the middle of my life. This inspiration to share isn’t born out of somber reflection on life lessons learned, or any desire whatsoever to educate or to help aspiring financiers. If anything, I desire to confuse and hinder the advancement of any wannabe stay-at-home traders in the hope that their aimless dollars find their way to my pocket via the electronic grifting apparatus we lovingly refer to as online brokerages.
Instead, I divulge to relieve the boredom, the formless clay with which a trader constructs his day to day existence. Join me on my daily journey through the ups and downs (mostly downs) of electronic trading, (mis)-managing money, screaming at numbers, and breaking inanimate objects…oh yeah, there might be some revelry and the occasional insight as to what to-do and what not-to-do during the course of your trading (life).
Happy trading.
