Canada, Finland, Sweden, and USA will face off in an Olympic-like tournament where we have an opportunity to see elite NHL talent on display across these four countries. The 2025 Four Nations Cup will be hosted in Montreal, QC and Boston, MA from February 12th–20th. It is the first “best-on-best” tournament since the World Cup of Hockey in 2016.

Each country was required to submit their first six players to the roster. Team USA started their nominations with Auston Matthews, Jack Eichel, Quinn Hughes, Adam Fox, Matthew Tkachuk, and Charlie McAvoy. The rest of the roster will be announced sometime in December of 2024 as we lead up to the tournament.

I wanted to predict Team USA for this upcoming tournament. Barring any sort of injuries — below you will find my projected 23-man roster that will be named to represent Team USA. The list includes my projected line combinations based on what I believe will work best to obtain a gold medal for my home country.

Honorable Mentions (Players I was on the fence about — in order):
