Summary

The Figma Africa session on Working with Figma Components was held on Wednesday the 22nd of July 2020, with about 80+ attendees in the session. The session was coordinated by Namnso Ukpanah with Jeremiah Righteous as the guest.

Jeremiah shared personal experiences with attendees on his work at Softcom/Eyowo, a leading software and payment company in Africa. He explained how his day-to-day activities go and how Components play an important role in his work and establishing consistency in their products.

Jeremiah started a deep-dive design tutorial sprint into building components with Figma. The session was an interactive one as attendees were allowed to ask questions in the chat section as the event was in session.

Questions from attendees made the sprint more interesting as attendees could get a clearer insight into what led to some of his decisions in the course of the session.

The session lasted for about 1 hour and 47 minutes. The topics covered included using Components, different types of Components, and how to build and set them up.
