Open Sea

Sometimes I am wide open

Like the seas at night

so dark

so deep

so dangerous

With the aim of drowning you

or fit you inside as the eight wonder of the world

I fade my self with the horizon

My skin gets as clear as the sand in the Virgin Islands

So infinite

So clear

So sagacious that it vanishes through your fingers

But I’m telling you:

That is just sometimes.

Como los mares en la noche

tan oscuros

tan profundos

tan peligrosos

que pueden ahogarte

o encajarte dentro como la octava maravilla del mundo

Me desvanezco con el horizonte

Mi piel se vuelve tan clara como la arena en las Islas Vírgenes

tan infinita

tan clara

tan sagaz que se desvanece entre tus dedos

Pero te digo:

Eso es solo a veces.
