For the closing keynote conversation of Fika Ventures’ 2021 First Look Retreat, we were honored that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ben Gilbert joined us for a conversation about authenticity, the creative process, and how Gordon-Levitt has applied his Silicon Valley experience to his own roles.
Gordon-Levitt, whose many talents include acting, entrepreneurship, and even gymnastics, co-founded HITRECORD with his brother a decade ago. HITRECORD started as a production company for the two brothers, and evolved it into an opportunity and outlet to share the creative process with a broader community. Driven mainly by organic growth, HITRECORD is now a venture-backed company that allows anyone to participate and contribute to a number of community creative projects, productions, and classes.
In this interview, Gilbert and Gordon-Levitt discuss growing HITRECORD, juggling competing roles, and maintaining good stewardship of technology and its impact on our culture and society.
