Author/Speaker/Artist/Screenwriter John Vorhaus: Comedy begins where tolerance ends. Why? Because when you reach people to the point where they’re nervous, they start to store tension and the more tension they store, the more explosively they will release that tension in the form of a laugh when the laugh comes.
Basically they’re thinking:
How bad is this going to get?
How far is he going to go?
How much is this going to cost me?
Arrgh…This is bad.
