Film Courage: “How much money do you think my movie can generate?” Is this a smart question for a filmmaker to ask a distributor or will this alienate them?

Jeff Deverett, Film Producer, Entrepreneur, Writer, Director: That’s a vital question to ask. That’s the whole point of the distribution deal is how much money you’re going to generate. You need to ask that question and you need to hear the answer and you need to have them justify why they answered it. Maybe they will compare it to other stuff that they’ve distributed or other stuff that has been in the marketplace.
