Film Review — ‘PREY’
Predator goes back to the past. Is this film a worthy hunt?
The Predator franchise returns to entertain movie watchers once again. However, this time it debuted on the small screen instead of in cinemas. Hulu is where you can check out the fifth entry in this long-running science fiction action series.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg (who also directed 10 Cloverfield Lane, which I highly recommend), PREY takes us back in time to 1719. The film chronicles the first visit of a Predator to Earth. The story follows Naru, played by Amber Midthunder, a young Comanche woman who desires to be a hunter. After seeing a strange phenomenon in the sky; she joins her brother and other hunters on an expedition, where she will come into contact with a hunter from another world, who will push her to become what she dreams to be. It will be quite the bloody affair.
PREY is certainly the best Predator film since the 1987 original. For me, it moves into the second place spot that was occupied by PREDATOR 2…
