RUN: It All Comes Full Circle
Why I rate this film a 6/10 (some spoilers included)
I have stumbled across this film from multiple Instagram clips. Run is a 2020 American thriller film where we follow the main character, Chole Sherman, in discovering her mother's dark secret. This film was initially published on Hulu and was labeled as Hulu's most successful original film, leading it to, later on, be picked up by Netflix.
Left In The Dark
In the film's opening, viewers are introduced to the first main character, Diane Sherman. The nerve-wracking beginning shows Diane giving birth to her premature daughter, and while we are introduced to the small child in the incubator, we are forced to question whether the child would make it through. The scene soon switches to a screen that defines Diane's daughter's different conditions, hemochromatosis, diabetes, arrhythmia, asthma, and paralysis.
Viewers are encouraged to believe that Chloe has these conditions because of her premature birth. We are introduced to her using a wheelchair and taking various medications throughout the day.
