The Blood of Zeus does a great job painting an image of the dangers of being in a relationship with a god as a human. We finally get to see Hera’s wrath through her acts of revenge and the deaths she causes throughout the season. To me, it was fascinating to see because we never got an on-screen battle between the gods. The images in this show were beautiful, and we learned more about the relationships that the main gods had with each other. I did enjoy how viewers could see the treatment outside children of the union got from the queen. She looked down on them and did not view them as her stepchildren or even close to being her own children. For example, her treatment of Hermes and Apollo leads them to side with their father and cover up his acts. There are many characters to break down, the break down of Greek myths, and what we may see in the future, but for now, we will make it simple and study the impacts of the storyline. We will not dive deep into the origins of the gods and goddesses because that is a different series coming up, so stay tuned to that.
