Did Oscar Winner Asghar Farhadi Steal the Idea for “A Hero”? This question is the headline of a Hollywood Reporter’s story that was recently published.

The Iranian filmmaker who won two Oscars for “A Separation” in 2012 and “The Salesman” in 2018 is now facing doubts about the originality of his latest film “A hero”. This is not what Farhadi wants the media to talk about, especially outside Iran. Among users on social media platforms, Farhadi has been severely criticized. On these online platforms, it seems that the voice of his critics is louder than his fans, unlike official media where Farhadi has managed to dominate his cinematic purposes. But at this time, social media has taken him by surprise!

A screenplay can be written based on this story. When Asghar Farhadi and his team were walking on A Hero’s red carpet at the 74th Cannes Film Festival 2021, Azadeh Masihzadeh, Farhadi’s former student, started to speak about her story. She sues Farhadi for pilfering her primes for “A Hero”, an allegation he rejects. In the meantime, Farhadi won the Grand Prix and François Chalais Prize for “A Hero” and media outlets boycotted Masihzadeh’s story. But whispers on social media about the story, especially on Clubhouse, Instagram, and then Twitter, have forced media outlets to cover the story…
