#3 — Response to Tree of Life

Honestly, it has been over two months and I still barely understand Tree of Life. Visually, the film is very appealing, but the characters are too poorly developed and the plot tries too hard to be deep and philosophical (that was the vibe I got, anyways). I somewhat understood the underlying Biblical allusions, but I don’t see the connections they hold to the film at all. Maybe I’m just dense, but I’m not a big fan of Tree of Life.
