In the last month of 2019, which films will be released? Let’s have a look.

First of all, it’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker that all sci-fi fans will be looking forward to, which will be released on December 19th. Among sci-fi blockbuster series, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is most attractive to the audience. This film focuses on the growth of Leia, the protagonist. It can be seen that it is doing foreshadowing for a new era of Star Wars, so fans could expect that there must be a more exciting storyline after this film.

Surprisingly, there will be a special show of Weathering With You on December 10th at the BFI Southbank, followed by the Q & A segment of director Shinkai Makoto. It became a Phenomenal film after it has been released in Japan, with box office exceeding 10 billion yen. The film tells about a young high school boy who came to Tokyo and met a young girl who can master the weather. They encouraged each other and fell in love with each other gradually. This is a great opportunity that Japanese film lovers can’t miss.

Also, there will be some Festive Films shown in BFI Southbank to entertain audiences over the Christmas period. For instance, Tim Burton’s most popular animation The Nightmare Before Christmas will be shown, which is a mischievous exploration of what’s meant by Christmas spirit. The Muppet Christmas Carol, Gremlins, and It’s a Wonderful Life will also be shown on the screen. It is a good choice to go to the cinema with your family during the Christmas period.
