The Titanic is a very depressing yet very lovely film by James Cameron. Based on the real tragic event of the Titanic sinking, James Cameron adds a romance story to the true event thats takes place. The story is told by Rose( Kate Winslet as a high class spoiled girl who gets almost everything she wants) as an old women throughout the film. She tells the story of how her and jack met and fell in love within the course of a few days, while she’s still engaged to Caledon Hockley( Billy Zane). Most of the movie it’s them trying to sneak around away from Cal and her mother, so they could spend as much time together as possible.

Jack(Leonardo DiCaprio) and Rose( Kate Winslet) have the typical Hallmark movie love story. In every Hallmark movie the two main characters always fall in love by the end for a sappy love story everyone wishes for. If you’ve ever watched one you always know that they’ll end up together or the movie wouldn’t have a point. So you know Jack and Rose will fall in love and hopefully end up together at the end like normal romance stories end. If you’re into these sappy romance stories like me I would highly recommend you to watch the Titanic.

Most of James Cameron films are pretty predictable. For example the Terminator series by James Cameron are very easy to follow through and predict what will happen throughout the movie and the ending. It’s a lot like way the Titanic is set up. You can predict from the beginning that Rose and Jack will eventually fall in love, and everyone will run into trouble when the ship hits the ice berg. The Titanic has one thing most everyone didn’t see coming( I sure didn’t), but the rest is all pretty predictable. I’d say he does a good job at making films but if you like more complex movies that make you think more then the Titanic and his other films aren’t the right fit for you.

James Cameron’s choice of actors and actresses for the Titanic were a pretty good pick. Casting Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack was one of the best picks he could have made for his part. Leonardo is very good at playing different roles and coming from playing Romeo in Romeo and Juliet does a great job of playing the romance part in the Titanic. Kate does a very good job at playing a rich high class women who rebels against her mom so well. As well as Caledon does a very good job at playing a stuck up rich man. All together I would Recommend people to watch the Titanic for the lovely romance story, even with the sad parts it is one of my favorite movies.
