After careful consideration from the jury, we are delighted to announce the WINNER of our 2022 English language TV Pilot Contest!
‘PROMISES TO MUM’ written by Olugbeminiyi Bammodu

Logline: When his mum passes away, Michael struggles to honour the promises he made to her on her deathbed.
The award includes a $3,000 cash prize and a place in the final selection of projects chosen to pitch at our next UK Online Pitchbox, amongst other prizes and benefits!
In addition, all three finalists will have their pilots read by the contest’s executive partners; BRON (‘Joker’), Dancing Ledge (‘The new Pope’), Eleven (‘Sex Education’), and Eleventh Hour Films (‘Magpie Murders’). Any finalist or semi-finalist unrepresented writers will also be connected to Eva Robinson from Sayle Screen agency who will offer further feedback.
We were honoured to have James Capel, Screenwriter and Founder of UK Scribe Lounge; Josie Cyrus, Development Manager at The Ink Factory; and Aadip Desai, Screenwriter and Marketing Consultant at Roadmap Writers on this year’s jury panel.
