London TV Pitchbox is an initiative of Filmarket Hub that seeks to promote the emerging talent of British fiction. It is an exclusive pitching event that reduces the distances between writers and producers and facilitates a meeting point where projects have the opportunity to present themselves to the executives of the main broadcasters and producers British.

This is a live pitch event where seven drama series in development are showcased in front of leading UK TV companies such as Caryn Mandabach Productions, Entertainment One, Ingenious, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, Sky, Sunny March TV, Working Title Television and World Productions.

Do you want to participate in the next Filmarket Hub event in the UK?

Filmarket Hub will return to the UK in 2020 for the third year in a row to host a new live pitch event focused on the British series in development. This new edition will feature the projects chosen during the call to compose the Official Selection and also with a very special guest: the winner of TV Pilot 2020 Screenwriting Contest, our first international script competition.

The goal of the competition is to find fresh voices writing for the screen and the next great drama pilot, connecting the writers to leading TV executives. That is why the winning script will be awarded a 1.000€ cash prize and the writer will be offered a place in the final selection of projects chosen to pitch live at the next Filmarket Hub TV Pitchbox in the UK.

“The first London Pitchbox marked a step-change in our writing careers”, Ian Masters & Jon Smith

The first edition was launched in 2018 with a case study on Peaky Blinders, led by Executive Producer Jamie Glazebrook. The second edition took place in September 2019 with screenwriter Peter Harness opening the event with a talk on his experience writing on top shows such as ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘McMafia’.

London TV Pitchbox has gathered fourteen series projects in the editions of 2018 and 2019 and has led to development agreements such as that which took place between Harry Smith, screenwriter of Coldline, and Producer Salon Pictures. We exist to matchmake projects in development with the industry, enabling more projects to go into production.

That's why we wanted to offer a platform to test your writing skills and provide you with real opportunities to take the next step in your screenwriting career. Submit now to our Screenwriting Competition and take your script to the next level!
