'Gangs of London' is Phenomenal

First of all, let’s take a moment to appreciate the action sequences that are like martial arts poetry! I was floored by the fighting scenes, watching in many cases with my jaw dropped, mesmerized by what was happening.

And that’s no surprise — given GoL is written and directed by the same director of two of the best fighting movies I’ve ever seen — Gareth Evans. The Raid (also known as The Raid: Redemption) and The Raid 2 are two of cinema’s finest martial arts action films, bringing Indonesian fighting styles to the mainstream in a way they previously had not been before.

They are must-see films for any fan of action movies, any student of cinema, anyone who truly appreciates cinematic action films/shows.

On top of the spectacular action sequences, the acting is equally engrossing. There’s not a single character you don’t care about from the very beginning. Some may see this as “just a gang show” but in reality the relationships are nuanced.
