Present and Past: ‘Quantum Leap’ now and then.

As a devoted fan of the original Quantum Leap series, I was excited and a little bit apprehensive about the 2022 revival. However, I can confidently say that Quantum Leap has exceeded all my expectations and proven itself to be a worthy successor to the beloved classic.

Set in 2022, a significant 22 years after the original series finale, Quantum Leap introduces us to a new lead character, Dr. Ben Song, portrayed brilliantly by Raymond Lee. Dr. Song’s journey as the lead physicist of the Quantum Leap project takes us on an exhilarating adventure through time and space, reminiscent of the groundbreaking storytelling that made the original series a cult favorite.

What sets this revival apart is its seamless integration of modern elements while staying true to the essence of what made Quantum Leap so special. The dynamic between Dr. Song and his fiancée and “observer” Addison Augustine, played with charm and depth by Caitlin Bassett, adds a fresh and compelling layer to the narrative.
