Atlanta, GA — On the evening of Sunday, April 23rd, 2023, Atlanata film professionals gathered at the annual IMAGE Film Awards Gala. The event was sponsored by FilmHedge, Atlanta-based company that offers short-term loans for film, television, and other media productions.

This prestigious event celebrated excellence in the film and television industry, and this year’s honorees included a few of Georgia’s most influential leaders and organizations. Former Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal was honored for his contributions to the state’s film industry, which has become one of the fastest-growing in the country. The Atlanta-based entertainment company Trioscope was also recognized for their groundbreaking work in the field of animation, while the Bronzelens Film Festival, also based in Atlanta, was honored for their efforts to promote diversity in the film industry.

A special honor was also given to former President Jimmy Carter. Unable to attend the event himself, the award was accepted on his behalf by American film director and producer, Francis Ford Coppola.

The IMAGE Film Awards Gala is a fitting tribute and celebration to Georgia’s thriving film industry, which has attracted major Hollywood studios and independent filmmakers alike. In recent years, Georgia has become a hub for film and television production, thanks to a generous tax credit program and a wealth of talented professionals working in the industry.

As more and more productions choose to film in the state, Georgia is poised to become one of the most important players in the global film industry.
