How Filo Helps Discord Servers Avoid Scam Links

Surely if you are on a large enough Discord server (although it also happens on small friend servers) you will have noticed that there are a concurrent number of people who send suspicious links and, probably, someone you know has probably done the same…
How can this be possible?
This “trick” is carried out in the following way: a scammer creates a bot-account in Discord, joins several servers and sends massive spam to all the channels/users that he finds in his way.
Some users do not have great knowledge and click on the links, thinking in good faith that they will really get what they promise… Surprise! User account has been hijacked.
This process is repeated now, but the difference is that you now use the account of a legitimate user on the server.
How can Filo help to avoid this problem?
We recently released a patch implementing our latest creation: Anti Scam Links.
No more scam links! We have joined a small community of Discord developers and moderators who report which links are dangerous, and you can also use an aggressive filter to detect scam links long before they are confirmed.
* The aggressive filter will detect any scam links, but it will also detect safe links. In short: having it activated has the advantage of stopping scam links, but the disadvantage of false positives.
Convinced? Protect your server from scammers with Filo!
