Day 209 –Light — Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day
Today’s beauty came in candle light. The alter table was lit with an array of tapers, large and small candles and votives. All of them were in clear glass candle holders. The candles were lit for all saints day in honor of those bright lights that passed on this past year and w no longer in our lives. The glowing lights flickered and danced casting shadows on the walls. In the silence, people spoke the name of those saints who had touched our lives. Each name evolved memories of personal interactions and I thought of the beauty and grace each person shared during their lifetime.
