Day 217– Full Beaver Moon- Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day

Today’s beauty comes from the sky. The day started with the morning star shining through the maple tree. The evening began with the most beautiful sunset of pinks and purples. I wanted to take a picture but was busy finishing applying the last of the porch stain. As the light faded the evening star rose bright. We drove out to Cedar Lake to watch the super moon, only there was no moon. Later the full beaver moon appeared large and full over the same maple as the morning star. Tonight’s moon was also one of three super moons appearing in October, November, and December. This full moon is the closest and brightest super moon of 2016, but also is the largest since 1948.
