HaibunDay 107 –Raven Run -Haibun Journey Beauty Each Day

Today’s beauty came from an unexpected trip to Raven Run Nature Sanctuary on our way home from Lexington today. On the way we saw some guinea fowl and a large white Tom turkey. We walked for two hours in not so sensible shoes. The entire area was filled with spring wild flowers.

There white flowers like star shaped Rue Anemone, sharp-lobed Hepatica, tiny white Asters and Squirrel Corn.

We saw purple Trillium and and lots of Blue-eyed Mary, and Dwarf Larkspur. There were wild blue Phlox, and different shades of purple larkspur.

We even saw a few wild red columbine and bright yellow Celandine Poppy, and Golden Ragwort.
