We went out to eat at Ancho restaurant, a small Mexican place in Old Town, when Cliff looked behind me and straightened up. “That says Mextonia!” I turned around and sure enough, there was a mural on the wall behind me labelled with MEXTONIA 17'. We’ve been to this restaurant a half dozen times but I’d never noticed that the mural was a part of Mextonia.

We impatiently waited for the guests sitting closest to it to finish up and leave so that I could grab some photographs — not easy in a full restaurant on a Saturday night!

A little bit of searching showed that the mural was by Mexican artist was Luis Sánchez. He has done another mural on what looks like a sea wall which I will have to seek out.
