For whatever reason people decide to become sober, one thing they may realize is that feeling lonely may be more apparent than ever.

Some people drink during gatherings to be more at ease, to have engaging conversations, or because it is a part of our social culture.

On the other hand, some people drink when they have negative emotions and may wish to use alcohol to numb their feelings. A temporary solution to avoid dealing with their problems.

The best part of being sober is that it gives us mental clarity.

We can now see things much more clearly, make good decisions, and understand how to treat ourselves better.

A big part of self-care is treating our brain and body well. Everything starts there. It will then lead to many great things we never thought we could accomplish.

Without alcohol, we may have fewer parties to attend and fewer social gatherings, and even when staying at home, we may end up going to bed early since we are not staying up drinking.
