Easter Bunny 33–2020

VATICAN CITY — It was announced by Cardinal Mino Rele, that the beloved giver of colorful eggs for nearly two millennia, the Easter Bunny, died early Thursday morning due to complications from a COVID-19 infection.

Born in 33 A.D. and given the birth-name Rabbitus Passoverstein, the future egg-handler grew up in a working class neighborhood of Jewish rabbits in Judea.

Shortly after reaching adulthood, Rabbitus changed his name to the Easter Bunny in order to start touring with early Christian evangelists. Easter Bunny soon gained fame in many parts of the ancient world, including then pagan Europe.

By the 17th century, Easter Bunny had settled in Germany and converted to Lutheranism.

Over the centuries that followed, Easter Bunny honed his professional persona and became a folkloric icon for young children.

He is survived by his 72,366 offspring and his fourth wife, 24-year-old Finnish supermodel, Astrid Bunny.

Note: In the event that you take everything seriously, let it be known, this post was SATIRE.
