Introducing the Finimize Community
The Finimize Community has been fundamental since day 1. In less than two years we’ve accelerated from a financial newsletter with a few thousand readers to a movement of 250,000 Finimizers taking control in their financial life 💪.
This crazy momentum has come from you telling your friends, family and colleagues about us. Initially we started receiving gifts from around the world, some of you even delivering thank you cards to our office. We thought this is just a financial newsletter WTF? Now, we’re hosting monthly sold out events with hundreds of attendees — all around the world 🎉
We asked ourselves, who are all this amazing people? So, we spent a weekend with some of our most engaged Finimizers. We found they have similar characteristics. They’re smart, driven, and curious. But, the most interesting thing we found was they all had a similar attitude in life. When faced with challenges or adventurous goals they they didn’t keep their heads in the sand, they just got on with overcoming them. This video puts a face to the Finimize community.
The power of the community is also spreading into education – this year we heard from Pat and Mark @ Year Up who use finimize as part of their course. YearUp is closing the opportunity gap by helping hundreds every year to attain jobs in top-tier financial institutions (JPMorgan, StateStreet, Goldman's…). Each student creating their own spin on a Finimize article.
We met people like Rosie Watterson, transforming the application process for law graduates and all-round legal superstar. Her work has helped hundreds through their application process to top law firms in London — of course Finimize is the recommended reading 😉. Dana the trainer — builds and delivers engaging and inspirational training to thousands of students yearly.
Our community even host their own events. In 2018 alone Chicago, Boston, Lagos, Dublin and more to come…
Basically, our community is awesome.
It sends a powerful message to the rest of the world when we all come together to discuss and solve common financial challenges. In fact, simply by engaging those around us in finance, we can have major impact. Just imagine what we can achieve as the community continues to grow.
