You can only understand what you have done or what you could imagine yourself doing.

So the way to understand more is to imagine yourself doing more things.

Imagine things you could never imagine yourself doing.

Imagine being a guard in a concentration camp.

Feel into it.

Experience it.

See yourself doing it.

Understand under which circumstances you would become that.

Understand that there is not so much difference between you and people doing things you couldn’t imagine yourself doing.

Only once you understand that you’re capable of doing the unimaginable, you can start the process of being a whole person.

Only once you understand that you’re capable of a lot of really bad things, you can start the process of being good.
