On Networking

I cringe every time I go to networking events because I see people running around trying to shake as many hands and collecting as many business cards as possible.

Your “network is your net worth”, so if you just shake hands, you are basically spending your time collecting pennies. Because that is how much a “handshake-relationship” is worth.

Instead, try to spend the extra effort and find a rare $100 bill.

A $100 bill is a person you vibe with and have an immediate connection with.

And once you found it, go ahead and invest it.

You can’t invest pennies, but you can definitely turn $100 into much more: grab a coffee, go out for dinner, do something fun together, follow up regularly.

Collect Benjamins, not pennies.
