Dear Community,

We are eager to bring you our third installment of our weekly Tuesday Team Talk series. Today, we want to share the thrilling details of our latest efforts to connect to communities through the power of educating and sharing.

Our Founder and CEO, Nelson Lin was invited to represent Asia on the panel — Fintech in Asia at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada on June 21st. It was a great honour to have our team speak at the prestigious University which was the birthplace of Ethereum.

The panel was an impressive lineup of experts in the blockchain and finance industry, with Nelson Lin, CEO and Founder of FintruX, Rob McMullan, Vice President at Planswell, and Pablo Eder, President of Durata.

During the debate, McMullan and Eder spoke at length of the current challenges Fintech businesses face in the West, specifically in Canada. These issues included regulation, red-tape, over protection and an encapsulated, tightly-knit environment that is not open to innovative methods of financing.

Nelson had the chance to represent the East with its advancements and openness to Fintech. He discussed some of the regulatory guidelines that make Asia a more open environment for Fintech. He used his personal experience in starting forward-thinking companies in both the East and West, and expanded on the differences. Nelson also outlined our plans to expand globally by establishing favorable joint ventures with reputable financial institutions throughout Asia and expanding beyond Singapore.

After the debate, our team met with passionate students, and took the time to answer any further questions after the presentation. Students coming from economics, finance, computer science, and computer engineering backgrounds were eager to speak to Nelson about his 30+ years experience in the financial sector and creating new technologies. They were able to discuss his first online adjudication software, using asynchronous calls before its existence, and his patented anti-aging technology that forms the core of low-code web applications like Rintagi.

Inspired by our mission, students were keen to join our FintruX Nation by participating in our FintruX T-shirt giveaway! They were very enthusiastic and receptive on learning more about our platform and the real life applications of blockchain through the FintruX Network. We are happy to have been able to educate and demonstrate what innovation and financial inclusivity can look like in a decentralized world.

Yours Truly,
