Ellipal Partners with FIO to Streamline Crypto Transactions
We are excited to announce that FIO has teamed up with Ellipal, the leader in air-gapped cold wallets, and for an upcoming integration of FIO Send. FIO Send will give Ellipal users a simple and secure way to send cryptocurrency from the Ellipal wallet to any other FIO-integrated wallet or exchange without the worry or fear of sending to the wrong address or chain.
FIO Send allows users to easily send any type of cryptocurrency without the stress of copying and pasting long string public addresses. FIO Send replaces that long string public address — which can be vulnerable to errors and other exploits — with a simple, human-readable address known as a FIO Crypto Handle. The long string public key address is replaced with the FIO Crypto Handle in the format of username@domain (e.g.jane@wallet).
Ellipal is a blockchain technology company focused on user security, producing some of the most secure cryptocurrency hardware wallets alongside a user-friendly app. Their leading product, the Ellipal Titan, is a complete network of isolated cold storage that employs air-gapped technology (i.e. fully disconnected from other devices, systems, and networks), providing full protection against remote and online attacks.
Ellipal also has an all-in-one app that pairs up with the Ellipal Titan, and allows users to tap into an ecosystem to buy, exchange, and stake cryptocurrency, plus access to hundreds of Dapps. FIO Send will be integrated into this app to provide Ellipal users with a streamlined user experience and a bolstered measure of security by eliminating the possibility of sending cryptocurrency to the wrong address or the wrong chain. No longer will users have to worry about mistyping a character or any type of hack or exploit that could alter the address during transaction.

FIO, the Foundation for Interwallet Operability, is a decentralized consortium of blockchain organizations and community members supporting the ongoing development, integration, and promotion of the FIO Protocol. The protocol is an open-source, decentralized usability layer solution that works across all blockchains, and uses human-readable Crypto Handles to replace the complexity, risk, and inconvenience that comes with blockchain-based transactions using public addresses.
