Foundation for Interwallet Operability (FIO) Launches $5M Integrator Grant Program

The Foundation for Interwallet Operability — a non-profit consortium of leading-edge crypto companies dedicated to advancing blockchain usability and interoperability via the FIO Protocol— has announced a new $5M grant program to accelerate FIO Protocol integration across additional wallets, exchanges, and other crypto applications.

This new grant program will fund the ecosystem integration of FIO Send, which is a FIO Protocol feature built to enable P2P crypto transactions via the use of an easy-to-read and interoperable FIO Crypto Handle (e.g. ease@foundation). FIO Send is integrated directly into crypto applications via a streamlined API call, and offers Integrators an immediate and measurable savings on support overhead by mitigating user error in the handling of complex public addresses and/or transactions sent incorrectly cross chain.

FIO Send increases crypto application usability by providing an easy, error-free transaction experience across any type of coin, token, or blockchain. This ease-of-use mitigates user error in the sharing of public addresses, which in turn protects both the Integrator from costly support processes and the end user from a potentially catastrophic loss of funds.

FIO Send integration takes less than 15 hours of development time on average.

$5M in Foundation grants are available on a first-come, first-rewarded basis to credible crypto applications. Grants range from $10,000 to $500,000 each and are dependent on the size of the integrating application’s user base, as ratified by the Foundation.
