How to Wrap a FIO Domain
Wrapping is the process of taking a token from one blockchain and making it available for use on another. All FIO Domains are NFTs on the FIO blockchain, which means they are secured by private keys and can be freely transferred between FIO accounts, users, and wallets by the private key holder.
With FIO Domain wrapping now available on Polygon, you can turn your FIO Domain NFTs into ERC-721 NFTs, which gives you the ability to list and trade your FIO Domains on your favorite NFT marketplaces.
Similarly, you will now be able to purchase FIO Domains directly from other holders on NFT marketplaces; after purchase, you can choose to keep your FIO Domains wrapped on Polygon for future resale or you can unwrap them to move them back to the FIO blockchain.
