In an effort to continue promoting an improved digital asset experience for users globally, starting May 14th and running through May 29th, Qtum users are eligible to reserve a FIO Address for free (paid by FIO) on the Edge Wallet. As part of this giveaway, users will have a daily chance to win 5 QTUM simply for trying out the FIO Protocol inside of Edge.

FIO Addresses eliminate the need to see, or even know about, blockchain public addresses, including those used by Qtum. FIO addresses mirror a familiar design that we’re used to seeing with traditional email addresses: “username@domain”.
For the duration of this promotion, users can receive a free FIO address on the Qtum domain in the following format: “username@qtum”.
A FIO Request is an in-wallet request for funds, which can be made from inside the Edge Wallet as shown in the video below. A request can be made for ANY blockchain token or coin supported by your wallet to any other FIO Address.
How to Enter
- Use this link — dl.edge.app/qtum (it’ll either open your existing Edge Wallet or prompt you to download it for the first time).
- If you’re new to Edge Wallet, create an account (this is NOT your FIO Address, it’s specific to Edge Wallet) and generate a new wallet, or import the seed phrase from another wallet.
- Click the banner to be taken to the registration site for a FIO Address on the @qtum domain. Enter any username you’d like.
- Head back to the Edge wallet, add the Qtum token if you haven’t, then click on request. Type in 5 QTUM, and then make a FIO Request to fiodaily@qtum with the memo “Qtum daily”.
- If you’re completely new to FIO Addresses, you will also want to go to the Settings bar->FIO Addresses, click on your FIO Address and “Connect Wallet”. Make sure to connect your QTUM wallet so we can send back to you in case you win.
We will approve one request from a single user each day throughout the campaign, and announce the FIO Address winner on social media. You can send a new request every day!
