WalletSwap Adds FIO Request, Now Offers Users Complete FIO Protocol Functionality
The Foundation for Interwallet Operability (FIO) is excited to announce the integration of FIO Requests into WalletSwap. WalletSwap joined forces with FIO in May 2022 to integrate the ability to register human readable FIO Crypto Handles (e.g. jane@walletswap) and custom domains, send and receive any typo of crypto using those FIO Crypto Handles in place of long-string public addresses, and has now completed the additional integration of FIO Request: the only blockchain protocol feature that allows users to request funds from other wallets using easy-to-read FIO Crypto Handles.

About the Partnership
The WalletSwap and FIO partnership advances the pursuit of increasing blockchain usability and building a better Web3 for use on the Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum networks via solutions that offer an easier user experience for cryptocurrency transactions while eliminating the possibility of errors that could lead to cryptocurrency being sent to the wrong address or possibly lost forever.
With the integration of the FIO Protocol, WalletSwap users will be able to create their own custom FIO Crypto Handle — a simple, human-readable wallet name on the @WalletSwap domain (e.g. jane@WalletSwap) that replaces the need to handle complex public wallet addresses. Users will also have the option to create and purchase custom domains and custom Crypto Handles using their custom domains. For example, someone could purchase their last name as a domain and create custom crypto handles for each person in the family in the format of firstname@lastname.

Using FIO Crypto Handles, WalletSwap users will be able to:
- Create a custom FIO Crypto Handle using the @WalletSwap domain or purchase custom domains and create their own FIO Crypto Handle or Handles using their custom domain.
- Deposit and withdraw any token or coin supported in the wallet from the WalletSwap Wallet using a custom, human-readable FIO Crypto Handle in place of complex public addresses
- Request funds from other users using easy-to-read FIO Crypto Handles
- Nearly eliminate the possibility of sending or receiving cryptocurrency to the wrong public address or blockchain via the use of this FIO Crypto Handle

About FIO
FIO, the Foundation for Interwallet Operability, is a decentralized consortium of blockchain organizations and community members supporting the ongoing development, integration, and promotion of the FIO Protocol. The protocol is an open-source, decentralized usability layer solution that works across all blockchains, and uses human-readable Crypto Handles to replace the complexity, risk, and inconvenience that comes with blockchain-based transactions using public addresses. FIO Protocol is built on the FIO Chain, a dPoS blockchain fueled by ecosystem utilization of the FIO Token ($FIO).
